This is the first experiment of a 3D model of the book preserved in the INAF Capodimonte Observatory. The book is titled “DELLA SPECOLA ASTRONOMICA DE’ REGJ STUDJ DI PALERMO LIBRI QUATTRO DI GIUSEPPE PIAZZI”, 1792. It’s linked with two other works by the same author: Della specola astronomica … libro quinto …, Palermo, Reale stamperia, 1794 and Del reale Osservatorio di Palermo book sixth, Palermo, Reale stamperia, [1806?]. The model was developed with Cinema 4D and the textures are pictures taken from the real publication and designed using Photoshop. |
