abstract  The VOSpace is a client and server implementation of the IVOA VOSpace interface. The VOSpace
is a lightweight interface to distributed storage specifying how VO (Virtual Observatory) agents and
applications can use network attached data stores to persist and exchange data in a standard way.
It is supposed to sit on top of existing storage solutions and the underlying storage system is not
specified. The service requires an SQL Resource DataBase Management Service (RDBMS) as default built-in persistence layer and it provides a RESTful interface.
This guide explains how to install, configure, deploy and run the VOSpace Service based on the open
software library of Canadian Astronomy Data Center, freely available at https://github.com/opencadc and it contains instructions on Tomcat Web Server and RDBMS installation and configuration.
